For car rental: the driver must be 23 years of age and hold a driving license B. The driver's license must have been issued at least one year before the rental date. The driver must either be a holder of a driving license issued by a country of the European Union or an holder of an International Driving License. The International Driving License must be accompanied by the driving license of the driver of the car. For drivers who have not completed the 23rd year of age are subject to an additional charge of 10 € per day.
For motorcycle rental: the driver must be 23 years of age and hold an A1 (up to 125cc), A2 (from 126cc and up to 400cc) or A (independent displacement) driving license. The driver's license must have been issued at least one year before the rental date. The driver must either be a holder of a driving license issued by a country of the European Union or an holder of an International Driving License. The International Driving License must be accompanied by the driver's driving license of the country.
For ATV (hog) rental: the driver must be 23 years of age and hold a driving license B. The driver's license must have been issued at least one year before the rental date. The International Driving License must be accompanied by the driving license of the driver of the car.
Drivers from CANADA-USA-AUSTRALIA-CHINA need only INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE
Payment
The lessee discounts the cost of renting upon receipt of the vehicle. The methods of payment of a rent can be in the form of cash or by credit / debit card (VISA, MASTERCARD). DINERS-AMEX-PAYPAL-PREPAID are not accepted.
Minimum Rental
The minimum rental fee is one day (24 hours). RAC S.A. allows the tenant a grace period for the return of the vehicle of up to 29 minutes at no extra charge. After the grace period, the tenant will be charged at least one extra day.
Deliveries - Car Receipts and Costs
Deliveries or receipts of rented cars outside the office are made after consultation at least 1 day in advance with the respective station of the Company. The delivery - pick-up service of the car outside the office is provided free of charge within bookings of each station and for a distance of 3 km. For long distances the extra charge is priced depending on the delivery / receipt location. For pick-up at the airport the charge is 20 euros per route. Opening hours for the Piraeus store are Monday - Saturday 09:00 -17: 00.
Vehicle return earlier
In case of return of the vehicle earlier than the date stated in the contract there will be no refund.

Prices include VAT, simple third party insurance, roadside assistance in case of accident, second driver, free delivery to and from your hotel and unlimited mileage to offices on the islands.
Kilometer Charge (concerns the stores in Piraeus and Salamina)
RAC prices include the charge for 150 kilometers per day. One-month rentals include a charge of 3,500 kilometers. In case the tenant travels more than the above kilometers, then it is charged with a specific price of € 0.10 per kilometer.
Gasoline Policy
The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel with which it was received. In case it is returned with less quantity, the customer is charged for the value of the missing fuel.
Car cabin
In case the vehicle is returned with stains that require special cleaning (eg animal hair, sand, sunscreen or salt stains) the renter is charged with the amount of € 50. + VAT.
Traffic Violations
The fines and any other consequences are borne entirely and exclusively by the tenant, who is obliged to pay them to the respective services.
Ring in the center of Athens
In the center of Athens operates the "Ring" where vehicles with single registration number circulate on single days of the month (eg 1, 3, 5, ... 31) and vehicles with even registration number, circulate on even days of the month (eg 2, 4, 6, ... 30). Excluded are cars rented by foreign visitors of the country and Greek permanent residents abroad for the first forty (40) days of their stay in Greece. However, each customer must be provided with the car lease contract that will prove that the car is rented and that it is in Greece for less than 40 days.
Policy on off-road driving
The cars of RAC S.A. should only be driven on paved roads. Off-road driving is allowed only with four-wheel drive vehicles category G, G1, J, T, T1 and at the suggestion of a company employee for specific road networks. In case of towing a vehicle outside the categories that are suitable for non-asphalted, the charge is € 150 + VAT + the cost of damage that will be caused to the vehicle.
Selection of a specific model / brand of car
The reservation is made for a specific car category (group) and not a model or car brand. You can state your preference for a specific car brand upon receipt and if available. The company reserves the right to provide a different type of car from the original booking with one of a similar or larger category.
Ferrying the car
Shipping is done only with the approval of the company and only in areas where there is a branch of the company. Damage that will be caused to the vehicle during the transport by ship is not covered by the insurance. In case of non-approval by the company, no roadside assistance or mechanical damage is covered and the renter is obliged to cover the costs of rebuilding the vehicle.
Across the borders rental
It is not possible to transport a car abroad.
Snow Chains
The charge is € 5 per day, with a maximum charge of 10 days. They must be mentioned in the reservation.
GPS - Navigation System
The GPS for the use of the tenants is available, after consultation when booking from our offices. The charge is € 5 per day, with a maximum charge of 10 days.
Third Party Insurrance
What does it cover? Covers insurance deaths and personal injuries of third parties, including occupants of the RAC vehicle (excluding the driver of the RAC car) as well as property damage to third parties, up to the amount set by law and relevant ministerial decisions. does it cover? Total or partial theft of the car. Theft of personal items on or inside the RAC vehicle. Death or personal injury of the driver of the RAC vehicle. Damage to the RAC vehicle.
CDW
Known as: CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) What it covers In the event of damage to the RAC SA vehicle the tenant is obliged to cover the repair cost up to the amount of the exemption depending on the category. The cost of CDW with the exemption amounts are as follows

Liability amount
The amount of liability means that in case of accident of the rented car you have to pay a sum of money depending on the category. The amount of liability is paid by the tenant regardless of his fault. In case of an accident that proves or is not his fault, the company reimburses only the cost of the rental repair.
What is not covered?
Damage caused by intent or negligence, by misuse of fuel, by breach of contract, caused by the bottom, roof, antenna, mirrors and tires of the car or while the car was in a boat not covered. Damage is also not covered when the driver is under the use of substances (alcohol, drugs, etc.). In all the above cases the tenant is obliged to pay the full cost of the damage regardless of the amount.
Theft
The company does not offer full or partial theft cover. The customer is obliged to cover the corresponding amount (in partial or total theft) of the value of the vehicle.
Personal Security
This insurance is provided with the same insurance policy that covers the compulsory motor third party liability insurance and the provisions of Section I of these terms (compulsory motor third party liability insurance) apply, provided they are not canceled or amended hereby. ARTICLE 1. SUBJECT OF INSURANCE The company in accordance with the terms of this insurance policy covers the insured for traffic accidents that the insured will suffer within the Greek Territory during the time he is in the insured car, whether it is at a standstill or in motion, for the amounts mentioned in the table of benefits of the contract and only for the following cases: a) Death by accident. b) Permanent total disability from an accident. c) Permanent partial incapacity. d) Actual costs of accident treatment up to the insured amount of € 5,000.00. ARTICLE 2. DEFINITIONS The interpretation of the following words of the insurance policy is "INSURANCE RECIPIENT": The person who concludes the insurance with the Company. "INSURED": a) The driver of the vehicle and b) the owner. The owner is also considered the legal representative of the insured company. "ACCIDENT": Any bodily injury of the insured that will be caused to him in a car accident, only when he is inside the vehicle. "VEHICLE": This vehicle that is mentioned in the insurance policy. "BENEFICIARIES": The legal heirs of the insured in case of death. "INSURANCE": The amount paid by the policyholder to the insurance company. "INSURED CAPITAL": The amount that the company will pay in the event of an accident, regardless of the type of benefit and the number of victims per accident.
Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation of a reservation made through the website either by prepayment or by deposit no amount will be refunded. All drivers must be aware of their driving licenses, especially those in the scooter and motorcycle categories, before making any booking. In case of arrival of a paid reservation without the appropriate rental documents required by law and mentioned in our terms, the company has the right not to return money. Reservations made in the form of request and then no partial or full payment is made, no reservation is valid.
If a confirmed booking is delayed for more than 3 hours without notifying the relevant office by phone then it will automatically be canceled.

In case the tenant does not appear on the agreed day and time of delivery without prior notice the company has the right to cancel the reservation after 3 hours and has the right of non-refund.
Modify a Reservation
The tenant has no right to make a change in the reservation in less than 7 days from the agreed delivery day.
